When the time comes, and Halo 2's here,
All will rejoice, there'll be no more fear.
The doubters and heretics, will all bow in shame,
For the game that just wouldn't, finally came.
And once it is played, by all young and old,
It shall be hailed as The Game, 'cause it broke the mold.
Others will try, and none will succeed,
In claiming the top spot, Halo 2's lead.
The gamers unite, the following doubles,
All conflict ends, along with the world's troubles.
As the Golden Age begins, the suffering ends,
Humanity heals, humanity mends.
For ten thousand years we evolve and we grow,
And we discover everything that there is to know.
When the data is analyzed, and all torn apart,
Just one truth rings out, that we knew from the start.
And when we evolve into a dif-frent space,
One word we attach just to leave a trace.
This word it is golden, a sign for our strife,
It sums up our reign, and as a species, our life.
Thousands of years later, when the aliens come,
They will see no more humans, no hello or welcome.
Instead what they'll find, in the ruins of our Earth,
Is the one word that proves all humanity's worth.
