Although Fhajad, Sam and James are all dead by First Strike, the possibility of there being a flashback cutscene does raise possibilities, unless of course that would be too much work, which is very possible. In the original Halo, they didn't cover EVERYTHING that went on as described in Halo:The Flood. For example, the cutscene of the confrontation with Major Silva would have been interesting, but not necessary.
