In Response To: Re: Theory on the origins of the war (thunderhawk555) i think everyone here is jumping the gun. all we know at this point is the covies want us dead, the prophets are obviously the supreme leaders of the covies. they are like the pope back in the time of the crusades, and the covies steal old forruner tech. also, they have so far glasses every planet they have encountered, on a couple they glassed the areas they didnt nead and then searched the areas they purposly didnt glass. i think its way to early to make any assumtions as to why the war started. it could be a number of reasons. the reason that i thought of, and so did a couple other people is that covies fear us cuz we are inovative etc. etc... but as the story unfolds this theory seems to far fetched to be true. as for your theory about the pirates, i think its far more complex than a simple attack made by some pirates. i think we should all wait until halo 2 comes out, before anyone comes up with any more ideas as to how it could have started. at this point, there are endless reasons people could think of as to why the war started. | |
