Hey everyone! Welcome to the First Strike Mod's Fourth Weekly Update. Its been a very slow week, to say the least, however we're none the less hyped for the next (That's one week closer to the HEK, eh?) That's the way it seems to be around here, there's a lot of energy at times that is being put into this mod. Here's whats been going on: *Crispy Spartan, our lead Level Design has been currently working with our Level Design Team on individual parts of the game. We can't give too much away regarding his work (or for that matter, any of our work), but to say the least you should be pleasently surprised with what we have planned. Crispy has also called for additional help on Level Design across our dev team; its very essential to maintain a certain level of quality in gameplay, and there's no better way than to check around and ask the advice of those who play it most. One of our goals is to really achieve the "Bungie 30 seconds of Fun." I'm betting we'll end up doing that : ) 3D Graphics *Farsight has been currently re-making the Covenant Cruiser that was in Halo CE. Why? - One may ask. Evidently the Truth and Reconciliation didn't have a top in the original game, so its up to the modeling department to create one. In other news, Wraith has been creating the Seraph fighter that was in the books. We haven't really seen too much of his work on it, but in the end it should turn out to be a really cool product. Concept Art *Chaos, our lead Concept Artist has been working on creating a Gettysburg for the game. Like the rest of us, we're really trying to make sure that all of our creations have a certain "Halo Feel" to them that everyone will love. Chaos has also been providing a small bit of concept art for the Seraph Fighter as well. Sound Design *Jatin is still surprising us with the sounds he's able to make. Whether it be the 'Whoosh' of a Brute Rifle Blade or a light Forest Rain, Jatin's sound work has been nothing but quality. Who woulda thought that anyone could take a squirt gun to a water bowl and end up with such sounds...? In the end, all of us seem to be eagerly awaiting the HEK. Upon its release, expect a major "kick start" in Level Design and overall game development. We'll have a lot more to come next week, Stay Tuned! Right now, please enjoy an Engineer on a Stick, complements of Chef Wraith, one of our 3d Artists. -Farsight
