: I hope MS states when they want it sooner. Put those big shoes to work.

So, you would like Microsoft to just walk into Bungie one day and say "We don't care how finished you feel it is, you're shipping Halo 2 out at this time."

Sheesh, I hope you never get a job in the industry, there are enough people without quality standards as it is. =(

Bungie made their point to the world with Halo. Seeing the success of Halo (which many believe with good reason is not just a flagship title for the XBox, but the flagship title, whose sales alone were a large part of the console's success), I believe Microsoft has good faith in Bungie, and are willing to let Bungie dictate when they will release their game. As the lady said in the interview, Halo 2 will make big sales, regardless of release date. Microsoft has no reason to feel threatened by Bungie taking their time to make the game to their lofty standard, and every reason to let Bungie refine Halo 2 into seven times the work of art its predecessor was.

Be patient. This isn't a Duke Nukem forever situation, not even close. A Bungie game is like a fine wine; the more time it has, the better it becomes.
