In Response To: Halo PC Complaints. Say what you will. (guy who doesn't post....too often) I agree completely. When I first got HPC I was so excited, I was truly scaring everyone around me. From setting up the little master chief on top of my computer to loading it up and humming the halo theme nonstop until it was installed, I was set in a way that few people are for the experience. Four months later, and I've been playing Xbox Halo roughly 500 times more often. Halo PC is a lackluster port; that's all there is to it. The only reason I put up with it is because the game underneath that Bungie built is so solid, it's fun even with ridiculous lag. I have a T3 connection here at college, and have sustained 3 MB/s downloads (3 MB/s!), but with Halo PC I can join a game and expect to have a good minute where I can't even move without being warped back to the start. The lag is atrocious. I have played more lag-free games in Quake 1, with a 28.8 modem. Well, that's my 2 cents, thrown in with the 5 dollars Brandon submitted. Well said, Brandon. --MikeMan |
