In Response To: Project Halo (SanchezTheLlama)

To go into more detail about what we want to do:

This is going to be a strategy game. So naturally, we need to make a plot for the game, outline how the game is going to be played, and what people are going to want out of the game. We also want to flesh out what the game is going to look like, what features the gamer wants, and what game types and details.

To go into more detail what Project Halo is:

It's an Open Source strategy game based on Xbox Halo. It's mainly OpenGL, and it's programmed in C. We are looking for developers in all fields. Such as:

Mac programmer
PC programmer
TCP/IP
OpenGL programmer
Video
Graphics
Client/Server specialty
Instant messaging protocols
Voice protocols

Pretty much anything you can think of. In Project Halo, you register yourself and a team on the Project Halo website. Then you log in with your username and password. Then it's much like GameRanger. You enter a lobby area where you can find all the games available. You join a game and select a team. Three way battles. Each player is on either the flood, the covenant or the human teams. Each team has their own specific abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. Once in the game, it's all about the strategy you use on the battlefield. The maps have sniper positions, great rocketeering spots and strategic locations to hide your team. Theres vehicles your team can use, and mounted guns. It will offer a top view of the game, and many of the game types Halo offers, over the internet with other gamers.
