In Response To: Re: New Danger Canyon Section in Halo PC Webpage (quickfire)

: I haven't been blessed with the opportunity to play Halo PC yet, but it is
: hard to tell how big this map really is. From the screenshots it looks
: quite large. Would it be safe to say is around "Sidewinder
: size"?

That's a great way to put it, actually. Danger canyon is really just an extreme sidewinder, during summer.

: On another note, I'm curious...are the Banshees able to fly over the
: mountains to other parts of the canyon or are they limited to fly over the
: canyon area? I heard about the invisible wall in Sidewinder and
: Bloodgulch, but I don't think that's the case here.

The invisible ceiling applies to all maps that are banshee compatible. Banshees cannot fly past the top of the canyone walls. Obviously, you can fly pretty high in Death Island, but DI is a special case.

: And lastly why is there a strange red glow coming from the structure on the
: ground? is that a teleport location with red rather than green? is that
: actually the Red Base? or is it simply "Halo ambient
: lighting"...

Decoration. The lights mark the begining of red territory. On the other side...

You see lights of the blue persuasion!
