I'm afraid it's just you. I'm an Australian-American (American-Australian maybe, whatever) and have found the same confusion before. In Australia, it's just "Uni", but in the US "school" is what happens to you from kindergarten to the end of your Phd, or however far you push that formal education thing.
And Nathan, although I'm mostly a forum lurker, it's been great to see someone in what is in most companies an "untouchable" position come down and get a bit dirty with the monkeys of the forum.
Best of luck in school/Uni, and similar to what a previous monkey said, I'd be in your debt if you introduced Sen. Helms to the business end of a rocket.
