At one time the percentages of hits here were about equal in regards to Windows and Mac OS. Louis Wu could update us on that. Furthermore, a fairly recent poll showed that most people viewing the b.org sites became consumers of Bungie products via Marathon 2, which sold mostly on the Mac platform. This indicates that Bungie's largest and most loyal fan/consumer base is composed of Mac users. I use Macs for multimedia work. I also use mine for entertainment (read "games"). I will not buy a Wintel box or an XBox just to continue playing Bungie's products. If Bungie games run on a Mac, I will (continue to) buy its products. If it stops bringing its products out for the Mac, it will be time to do other things for fun; computerwise or otherwise.

I hope true fans of game developers are not (all) idiots. If said developer makes a choice which hurts its most active fanbase, I would hope that those jilted consumers go spend their money elsewhere, like I would. Why would Bungie just give up on a large group of buyers who are likely to buy its products? Why would Microsoft, for that matter, seeing that Bungie's Mac and Wintel users spend the same color of money?

If Bungie were to "sell out" to Microsoft, sooner or later somebody else with vision and skill would smell profits and fill the Mac void with newer, better games.
