Follow-up to Ferrex's Halo e3 Movie Transcript!
Posted By: PfhorDate: 5/14/00 7:16 p.m.

Hey,

I just got back from e3, and I keep telling myself, I want that movie. I only got to see the movie
twice, but still it was killa. Now I will write my follow up to Ferrex's great movie transcript for it,
because their is a few things I want to add.

First of all, Joseph treated us to a playable version of Halo. He used the AR first, and the firerate
was good, but he fired a grenade and when it hit the ground, it was like a flare for a few seconds,
then it had a little explosion. Different then what we've been used to. Then he got the sniper rifle.
Man, once he fired it in the air, you could see the smoke trail WAY in the distance. It was so real. It
went straight out too (glad). Then the shotgun came out, he bent down, and started blasting the
ground. I saw the red shells eject from this massive weapons, pretty neat. Then he got in the jeep, I
noticed their was blue controls (screens) in the front. Also the chaingun was attached as the main
turret, and it was more black I believe and much bigger then the original red one. Looked more
powerful to me. He drove around, then flipped the jeep over a couple of times, and as he did I
watched the marine and he was jerking forward and back, then he did a special code while saying,
"No one look", to get the jeep back on its wheels, heh.

Now onto the video presentation. This presentation was taken from a various battle scene that
Bungie before has actually played, and was scripted also. Not fake, this is part of what we will be
able to play when Halo ships, as he said.

Now as the first covenant fell from the sniper bullet through his neck, the second one paused, saw
his dead compadre, and then without moving looked at the distance to see where the sniper was. If
he moved to try to warn the others, he would of got shot of course. About 5 seconds later, we (the
marine) nailed him, :) The marine was hiding pretty good on a canyon, with parts of it in front of
him for good protection and hiding out. As they showed the marine, he reported back to the BOBS
(humans). As he was reporting, his head was moving slightly, and the reflection on his visor really
wasn't moving, so I think it was just some light, not his skull outline as some said, but who knows.
The anti-armor rocket launcher on the jeep, it is awesome how it is set up. You see in this seat and
on your left is the launcher itself. You have these green controls to control the launcher. When they
met the first ambient life, the raptors, they had to slow down when they were next to the jeep, and
then they spun off. I think they did this so the raptors wouldn't attack them. Then the stegosaur
looked really cool and scary. One of the BOBS said something like, "Leave them there". I guess in
the game they might attack the humans, or the humans hate them. As one of the BOBS were
kneeling on the hill next to the base, they Covenant were right in front of him. Their peripheral
vision must be bad, because they should've spotted him. The AR I noticed doesn't have a fast firing
rate, and they never used the grenades once. As the battle pursued, once of the Covenant kneeled
down so low behind one of the vechiles for protecting, I assumed they are really flexible, since they
are what, 9 feet tall? :) As the BOBS ran in the base, they used their lights on the shotgun to check
the dark passages, really neat. The Covenant shield after a few shots got uncharged went away).
Ferrex said that he thought the damage system hasn't taken place yet for the BOBS, because when
they were running out of the structure, they took many hits. I think they didn't take any hits at all,
except for the one who got hit and fell down. They were mostly using walls and running
techniques to get out. The BOBS on the outside were getting ready for the Covenant to run out
(ambushing them, they were using their AR's). The marine at the end reflected 2 shots from the red
(leader?) Covenant with his sword (Covenant sword I believe), and he poked it into the red cows
stomach, but it didn't go through all the way. The cov knew he was going to die, so in his last
seconds, he had some desperation to kill that marine by shooting at him a couple of times as he
was falling down. That was an AWESOME SCENE.

Well that is about it, sorry I didn't make it sound good, but I am in a hurry to go somewhere, cya.
