'skin' started long before quake, as term for the bitmaps in a GUI who's entire look was contained in a single image... 'chrome' is the term for the look of a GUI that is composed of multiple images. Console commands... well.. what else do you want to call them? and THAT term started WAY before quake.. like 30 years ago... Clans are also not quake specific, and have been used in many a cheesy scifi world, also in D&D, in the real world, etc. I'm not sure if id chose that name or if fans did, but either way 'clan' doesn't work for Halo.... I'd prefer Armys and 'toons... Army and 'toon aren't exactly right either, but i'm a known OSC fan. -Traxus (write that screenplay faster Orson! :p ) | |
