(Tru7h) : Let pull out the original writing (in frencient) : pompompom : ug i didnt bookmark the page : ...searching... : ...searching... : ...searching... : ...searching... : ah here it is : E Durendal cum es bele e seintisme! : En l'oriet punt asez i ad reliques : so its Durendal : the problems come from the fact that during the midle-ages books were copied : by monks and monks often took literary ummm you know literary... ah frell : they frigin changed the texts to suit wath they felt was more beutiful (books : werent even signed by the author in those days!) : so its hard to see if a monk wrote Durendana or Tudold (or maybe its a typo well, the fact that he (or they, he might have died copying it, and another monk taking his place) consequently wrote durendal (i found multiple cases of "Durendal" in the text) makes it pretty obvious that it was actually written like this. then again, maybe he consequently misspelled it É but i still wonder why the sword never brokeÉ even after cleaving stone. although it is a myth, the various tales of exceptional swords, told in the middle-age are bound to be partly true. maybe the smith who made durenal used techniques similar to those Wieland the smith used to create his swordÉ does anyone have a lead on this?
