: What advantage would telling the covenant about Earth have for 343?
More importantly, why would the covenant even bother takeing advice from 343. First off they're already on Earth's doorstep, did they really need someone to tell them to knock. Second of all the Covenant, being a highly conservative rightwing faction in the universe, would not be comfortable with guilty Spark's choice of life style (Not that there's anything wrong with that). It seems to me that 343 Guilty Spark would probably have used the information pirated from Cortana to find out the addresses of a few good hard core leather bars in San Fransisco.
