Marathon could have taken place after the Covenant wars, : except, that would mean they went from Mark V to Mark IV cyborgs, and that : the weapon technology, except for the fusion pistol, would have been back : water. Plus, humans had jump technology, yet the Marathon doesn't Unless Maraton launched before jump technology was available, or efficient/ stable enough to jump a ship the size of an entire MOON. Furthermore, The tech on board Marathon would be unlikely to progress much farther than it was when she left -- I'm not sure the ship had extensive research/dev facilities (they weren't mentioned and can therefore be assumed not to exist) .... and : one more thing.... It says in the Bridge of the PoA that there is a : "colony ship for sale, cheap." It's also worth remembering that these are *games* and the designer of the pinboard on the PoA would have thought it funny to refer to Marathon, hm? I mean, the pinboard also refers to the Microsoft buyout of Bungie, which as far as I'm aware isn't referred to in the Marathon timeline ;p Hm. [z]
