: Actually we have just under 10,000 registered users on the site, with roughly
: 1,000 of them belonging to a 7th Column chapter. Apparently very few are
: regulars, however, despite our changing content. We've intentionally kept
: the site low-key in order to test the scaleability of our system--we're
: doing some pretty intensive things running those chapters. I'm sure this
: is part of the problem, but I have only a vague idea what the rest of the
: problem is. Many of you have been around at least as long as I have, let
: me know what you think.
Some interesting figures there Max. I suspect that most of the 9,000 are bungie.net users who registered prior to the MS acquisition. There has been a lot of fracturing of the original Bungie fan base since then. The MS buyout itself, the selling off of Myth and to a lesser extent Oni, the Halo for Xbox first announcement (still no Halo for Mac and PC users), the staggered worldwide Xbox release (still no Halo for us Europeans and many others). Of course you know all this yourself. It'll take time to recover but no doubt Bungie will.
Cheers
