Agreed the polls did stay up longer but generally speaking the largest number of votes would have been registered in the first few days. Frequent changing content is good but when only a 100 or so of your fan base bother to vote you have to ask "why?"

Aye. While you couldn't multiple vote from the same IP you could hop to another computer or use a dial-up to vote more than once. While this would of happened in the more contentious polls I doubt it would have happened in every poll back then.
