In Response To: Re: Does anyone care about the other nine cyborgs? (Thoth Wannabe)

We are different from the other cyborgs: Every time we died, we could go back to the last pattern buffer we were at, and then try it again differently, making us invincible. If there were a real person like this, or cyborg, he could win any battle, if there were a tiny little probability that he could win. He would just try and try and try again until he won. In inifinity, we were even able to switch timelines altogether to stop the W'rc'ncacnter (or however that's spelled) from excaping the sun. This is what Durandal means by "Hopeless encounters successfully won". The only way we can actually die is if there is a zero chance for us to survive... such as when the colony we're on gets nuked into bedrock, which is what happened to the other nine cyborgs.
This is why the cyborgs were so deadly that they were never used, like nuclear weapons: They could not die under normal circumstances. The only time you can actually kill a Mjolnir is if there is zero chance that he will actually survive, such as when the colony he is on is nuked into bedrock.
What makes us different from the other nine is our ability to switch timelines altogether. Do you think it was a coincidence our hero was in a shuttle en route to the marathon?
