So they DID die... Well, there was obviously something special about the player marine that the other Mjolnirs didn't have. I wonder what was done so right on the tenth try? Perhaps the Jjaro had been involved with the creation of the marine well before we thought they were...

Yeah, and the super-powerful entity that resulted destroyed Superman himself. If the marine dies, he simply jumps to another time stream or gets pushed out of a pattern buffer. As I said before, he's probably as crazy as they come.
