In Response To: Aleph One SDL (Johannes Gunnar)

: hey, i recently got Aleph One SDL to work on my pc and well there are
: something i want to know

: 1.what is the best color and resolution settings to have, aleph one SDL
: doesnt look very good in graphics on my pc,
: 2.how can i convert maps from Marathon infinit or A1 in mac to Aleph One SDL

I go with the basic settings in a reduced sized window. When I try to go full-screen, it really doesn't look all that hot. I'm waiting for someone to enable OpenGL with the SDL version, but I'm not holding my breath (from what I gather on the mailing-list, there's a couple of issues keeping this from occuring in a practical fashion).

As for converting maps, I believe there's a converter out there, but you'll likely get good results if you either (A) follow the same instructions as in the Readme for converting the files from the CDs or (B) only D/L those scenarios/,aps that have already been converted. I've played Tempus Irae and Evil on the SDL port, so I know they're out there.
