According to the mailing list, they're working on it. The Aleph One team intends to write better code for deathmatching and co-op, along with a new spectator mode and save terminals for co-op games. However, they just started working on this about a week or two ago, and the programmers are fairly new to network code, so it may be awhile until we can play network games on Aleph One.
