In Response To: Re: Actual Story Discussion! (Forrest of B.org) : This actually brings up another point I had considered but thrown away? Aside
One possibility is that every pfhor fighter is a sterile female, as seen in many social insects, particularly hymnoptera (bees, hornets, termites). Their sterility is one of the main reasons they act altruistically for the others in their hive: they are promoting the genes of the queen, which they share, by sacrificing themselves if necessary. On the other hand, there is no indication in Marathon's story that this is the case. It's just idle speculation. Does anybody care to look through the games for any evidence to support or refute this? -Octav 18 |
