In Response To: Re: Actual Story Discussion! (Forrest of B.org)

: This actually brings up another point I had considered but thrown away? Aside
: from Leela (and that woman spoken of in the Infinity dream terminals,
: which I presume to be this same "Dark One" counter to you as in
: KYT), are there any females we know of in Marathon? Especially on the
: enemy side?

: When we are captured by Tfear he refers to the "Hindmost Creche".
: In the optional failed-timeline-ending level "Aie Mak Sicur",
: Tfear again refers to a creche, though not as a holy or revered proper
: noun like the Hindmost. He DOES, however, refer to the "Great Mother
: crouched behind the throne."

: It has been postulated that the Hindmost Creche is perhaps a sort of
: "Pfhor Queen", the highest echelon of Pfhor beaurocracy, and
: perhaps the central "hive mother", as the Pfhor are highly
: insectoid. In which case, the central intelligence behind your enemy in
: Marathon, your ultimate nemesis, even though you never meet her... is
: female.

: Is Dark One behind the Pfhor?

Wow, my post of utter rubbish actually resulted in productive thinking.

I feel so proud.

Anyway, this makes sense to me. "How the Pfhor Make Babies" seems to imply that the Pfhor males are pretty disposable... they enslave, they mate, and they drop dead in a heap.
