In Response To: Why not? It is the name of a chemical element. (Djof) I know. Nobody seemed to realise I was saying that dictionary.com accepts American english spellings. I meant that ALUMINIUM is a word, not ALUMINUM. Look at the page that you linked to: http://www.webelements.com/webelements/elements/text/Al/key.html How does it spell it? :-) Of course spelling it aluminum is more consistent than aluminium, because we say platinum not platinium. OK, just forget it =) |
