I agree with what Sriranga Veeraraghavan stated earlier, that this is an alternate reality. Security Chief Jones might have been on the Marathon before the Pfhor invasion, but it could likely be that he doesn't exist in the Marathon universe that we know.
In Infinity, the only humans named are Lieutenant Kent (Naw Man He's Close)
and "Jetty" [and the others] (Naw Man He's Close).
