That's what I did. What's really neat is that when you get to be really good at dodging projectiles, you'll learn to save those power-ups for when you really need them. I sometimes end up not using them, just because I was saving a 2X or 3X power-up until my shields got really low, only to find another power-up later (i.e. that left me a spare). Mind you, I'm no vidmaster, but it's nice to feel in control of the game - at least until a trooper comes out of no where and blows you away!
