: Was it just me or were these AR guys on Honk... as well? oh yeah,
: I'm playing on normal.

No, you're absolutely right - the AR Bobs are there from Honk on. That's what happens when you're going from memory. Let's put it this way, on TC, they don't live long enough to be noticed until you reach Hairy legs ;-)

Speaking of normal, we all start out on normal. It takes time to build the skills for TC. The funny thing is that it's a whole different game on TC. Not any more fun, perhaps more challenging, but definitely very different. On TC, open spaces, your enemy when you first learn marathon, are your friend. You can use the room to dodge projectiles, and it's very easy on TC to get monsters to kill each other. That's why you don't need any more ammo on TC, even though the bad guys are really, really bad.

: I let the admiral die a couple of times first. Hey I'm only one man,
: gimme a break!

No you're not - you're a Mark IV cyborg!

: Yes, I agree with you. I think Durandal had another motive for
: stealing dear little haller's chip. This parallels two other Salinger
: AIs later in the game (or maybe it doesn't, I can't remember; anyway).

We'll definitely get to that in time. An even greater parallel is with Durandal keeping the Achilles virus for himself, but we'll have a lot to say about that when we get there.

: Woohoo! Go me! Salinger plank first go!

Hey, you gotta do it sometime.

: Yeah from 2 whole people :)

In this forum, 2 people is a lot ;-)

: Maybe Durandal had something else on/in his mind. Haller anyone?

Good point . . .

Keep up your posts - they're adding a lot to the discussion.
