In Response To: Re: Ferazel and The Bungie Influence (Spoiler) (Tru7h) Don't you know Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke use/used assistants to help them with their books? Asimov let them write the main structure of the book and later he added the details. Clarke works the other way around: he write the main structure of the book and let his assistants finish it. They say many of their books are/were written completely by their assistants. A novel written this way is very questionable: it's more like a product than an artistic expression. In the end, you have to agree with me that taking the credit for something you wrote in part (maybe just a small part) is dishonest. Now you know how many "prolific" authors manage to publish so many books in such a little period of time. |
