Grenade rifle from Aliens

I recently watched aliens and spotted this literal checkhov's gun. So Bungie's AR was inspired by the gun from Aliens. They don't appear to be using a dual firing mode with it, so Marathon improved on the concept. Then bungie took the shotgun idea from Terminator 2.
