EDIT- Scratch the very last sentence, I forgot about the first Tycho terminal. Strauss at the very least knew Durandal was in the first stage of rampancy. Though if you consider him getting into second stage the point his rampancy truly began then Strauss was most likely dead by that point, making the concept not entirely invalid. I still maintain Durandal never got the opportunity to "hold the throat of his beater" as the terminal implies.
