| In Response To: The new Marathon game is real (Bob-B-Q) We're all going to have to get used to "Marathon" meaning the new one when people say things like "been playing Marathon"; "Marathon has a cool story"; "is Marathon worth playing" as so on. Nobody's going to consistently call it "Sony Marathon" just for our sake; the side without the billion-dollar corporation is the one that has to change. I was going to say something about seeing whether people try to duplicate elements from the trailers in AO. It didn't seem to happen with Halo as much as I'd hoped, but there are presumably better tools now. On the other hand, people are a lot more copyright conscious, and Sony isn't known for being easygoing. They might even start cracking down on fan content as a whole. I was also going to say something about popular fan scenarios being our "Legends", for people who want to make things totally divorced from Sony canon. But people are also more sensitive these days about others "stealing" even informal IP. Guess we'll see. Of course, all of this assumes that the game is actually going to come out.
