People need to stop saying this, because it's not true. RotT used a cheap hack that treated "dual pistols" as a single weapon. It was literally just a sprite replacement that had two pistols instead of one; you didn't press different keys to fire each weapon, RotT didn't treat their ammo sources as separate, and it didn't even have them reload at staggered intervals. Marathon's dual-wielding, by contrast, was entirely genuine: as we all know, you press different keys to fire each, they maintain separate ammo pools, and they reload at separate times. They aren't remotely comparable.
