: Hearing voices in his head? Possibly.
: I admit it's hard for me to go back to how I first "heard" them in
: my head these days, dating back to when I started watching Shudaki of
: Halved Studios' Let's Play of Marathon (though he has sadly privated his
: entire LP along with 70% of all his other ones too) where he used
: Microsoft Mike, Sam & Mary for the AI voices. So long I forgot what my
: originals mental voices for them sounded like.
: It makes sense they'd have voice in the game universe though, as while it was
: only text on a screen for us and could easily be in the world too,
: Durandal did use his voice at least once to talk to Marcus in the manual's
: intro while he was on the Mirata. It's a bit hard to give out a faint
: chuckle in text only, plus it makes the world feel more alive. The only
: problem is that it makes the text harder to skim without cutting off their
: speech.
The durandal voice in the mandalore gaming vids is closer to how I hear Tycho's voice in my head: too unhinged and high-pitched when Durandal's supposed to be more emotionally controlled by around the midpoint of M1 at the earliest.
I had one of these moments from the harry potter movies. The snape voice in my head was always high pitched and definitely not nasally and... well, at least the actor looks like him.
