About all I could add, besides continuing nostalgia, is that the profound change is complete in terms of the video game being a marginalized diversion, favourite of introverted youth, to being a mainstream expression of art, labour and production (as in GDP). Witnessing the world transformation through the round-about way of interacting with all of you and the prism of Marathon in all its forms is a unique, comforting and genuinely interesting experience. What I mean by that is that the 25-year younger "us" went through life changes, transformation, growth, education and integration by way of bring this old bag with us, tending to it, caring for it and through it connecting with people, ideas, literature, art in a way that few other experiences which last for 25 years can.
As for all that could be said about this community, I believe Yossarian's post is indeed succinct.
