I googled this and found that the Green Card Lottery was one of the first instances of widespread commercial Usenet spamming (1994) when a husband and wife legal team paid a programmer to post it to every newsgroup on Usenet.
I had to do a double-take when I came across that terminal because 3333 E. Cambelback Road is a real address - I bike past it a couple times a week on my way to my gym which is on that same corner. That law firm is no longer there, but the building does house firms of the type apropos to that part of Arcadia; other lawyers, title companies, plastic surgeons, etc.
