I've never seen this, probably because I tend to shun anything DOOM related. If it's freely downloadable and runs on Linux, I'll have a look.

This is one of the top items on my wishlist. I'm going with A1 format so I can do liquids, ambient sound, etc., so hopefully I can set a flag so A1 will use the MONSTER_CAN_GRENADE_CLIMB rules for the player.
If that fails, I'm fiddling with the idea of using the shock staff as a climbing weapon. Initially, I set it's recoil high to make it stop the player from moving forward while using it, and to make it difficult to manage, but in my testing I found that the high recoil makes it *too* easy to jump up on ledges and I'll have to tone it down for next week's release.
