It's only really annoying when backtracking or retrying after a death, but that's solved by Turbo. Sometimes it lags and its hard to tell until weapons fire or pain effects play out of sync. Perhaps faster PID monsters would be perfect in Marathon so long as they can restore the original projectile sprites unlike in Eternal where they just reused fighter and S'pht shots for headless and nightmares respectively, with shocking sphere sprites taking the place of Jjaro fusion turrets.
