I actually really liked Phoenix. Never tried TGI, but I'm sure Phoenix is better. I like the way the action is handled, and the weapon design is great - in most Marathon scenarios (especially the original games), you end up using one weapon on most things, and all the other weapons become 'role players', so to speak. By contrast, in Phoenix, you're basically required to use all of your weapons a reasonable amount throughout the course of the scenario. I also loved the blending of 'natural' and artificial architecture (rock-faces merging into large box structures. I actually got a fair ways into the scenario on Total Carnage - that was fun and challenging. I would be happy to return to do a few write-ups if we did Phoenix, but I doubt that would happen, considering Eternal and Rubicon are the biggies that need more attention. And then of course, there's Evil, but I guess we wouldn't really have to do that, considering the Rampancy duo already made their series on it. Vale,
