It's a planet (actually I don't think I ever specified in game text, but I was thinking of it as a planet), but you're correct that the Drinniol and Pfhor just happened to be there; it's not the Drinniol homeworld or anything. It's a long-abandoned Jjaro outpost that the Pfhor were investigating / pillaging, and that just so happened to be the place where a foolhardy Pfhor scientist implanted a Drinniol test subject with a Jjaro Cybernetic Junction and kicked off the Drinniol revolt, which is why we're there in Eternal.
