The exact line is "The creature, or creatures S'bhuth fears are either dormant or a myth--we've seen nothing to account for his terror."

What I interpret that to mean is "Welp, reality isn't being eaten for lunch, so I guess either we fixed it or it wasn't broken in the first place. Either way, we're safe now." From Durandal/Thoth's perspective, this is perfectly reasonable. From our perspective, we know that it *was* broken, because we went through all those timelines where the W'rk got free and hosed everything. So, we did indeed save the universe. W00t.
