I have always favored grabbing the invisibility power-up located behind the poly triggered radiation doors at the end of the raised bridge area before teleporting off the level. I can get this to last long enough into Ingue Ferroque, 63 seconds, to get to the second ring and trigger (blast) the projectile troopers before my cloak expires.

The invincibility power-up is best used for, IMHO, rocketing up to the hidden Bungie vid-tip terminal. :)
