Thanks for the info. I'll check it out :)
As for the "fuzziness", that's not a conversion error, it's simply the lower quality instruments of that version of Quicktime. It's not there in the newer versions of QT, but midis also sound different with other versions. So what you're hearing should be almost exactly as it was heard back in the day. I suppose some of the static could be removed without much difficulty though...
