I didn't know SheBob past her name, but what a name. A mix of confidence (I'm a woman and proud of it, in a community full of male sci-fi, gaming, computer nerds) and humility (I'm just a Bob like you, we're in this together) that bespoke a joy in simply being herself: no more, no less.
Accurate or not, Candace Sherriff made a lasting impression on me in that small way, and gave me a goal to reach for in my own life. Quite a nice gift from someone I never met.
