Craig, it's pretty obvious to me that an expert like yourself needs to do the trimming. What I can do is record the music in Audacity (free software) and send you the saved projects without any trimming or added effects. You can then tinker with these yourself and get them perfect.
Of course, this is all academic since my recordings will become rightfully obsolete if treelama gets his set up working.
