So is that the player's mood, Durandal's mood, the Pfhor's mood... Which tunes are Jealousy, Anger, and Melancholia? Even if speakers aren't blaring music throughout the Marathon, it would be good to consider how specific musics of specific levels reflect the story.

I think Seropian* mentioned, in regards to the change to the ambient sounds of M2, that music blaring throughout the Marathon was not particularly realistic. I've taken that to mean that there was, in fact, music blaring throughout the Marathon, however unlikely it might be.
Of course, I could assume he's just talking about immersion... but where's the fun in that?
*Was it Seropian or someone else? I'm not quite sure who it was that said this.
