The title is of course a pun, much like the many 'Pfh' puns : features in the original Marathon's Pfhor levels; and as mentioned : earlier, this title originally belonged to the first level of this : chapter, now called S'pht'ia. This level was originally titled "Eat : S'pht" and then "Eat S'pht And Die", until the next level : was given that title and this one given its present title.). : You awaken inside of a stasis chamber of some sorts. Exiting, you find : yourself inside the tower of the Citadel of Antiquities, and upon : exploring you find that the Pfhor are now present! Your chronometer : informs you that a thousand years have passed. Nearby is a terminal from a : random S'pht. : (If you pay close attention, you'll note that the terminal picture is of the : room you're in, and the S'pht you're reading this message from is the one : standing, or perhaps lying in a puddle of his own blood now, right behind : you). : [L24-T0-Unfinished] : (K'hal'in was originally mentioned in a secret terminal hidden on the : precedessor of "She Is The Dark One". He was the child of a : S'pht mother, and was referenced in a letter written to her [?husband] on : the battlefield. This terminal related the story of a mythical first clan : of S'pht which preceded the eleven clans, the S'pht'Mneh, the legend of : whom the mother recently related to their child. Though the terminal was : written in a serious tone as a precautionary tale to the husband-S'pht on : the battlefield, the whole thing was really a joke on the name S'pht'Mneh, : since the "Mneh" part is an expression of apathy, and that was : the sin of the S'pht'Mneh clan that lead to their extermination. That : terminal is now lost to the mists of time, but K'hal'in's name survives in : this terminal). : Further down the Citadel is another terminal from a higher-ranking S'pht : (again, the one standing right behind you): [L24-T1-Unfinished] : You emerge out the far side of the Citadel (the opposite side you previously : approached from), and go about the mission that has been assigned to you. : Pfhor and S'pht forces battle everywhere.
