How do I change keyboard prefs?

I just got Aleph One in purpose of strolling down the Marathon memory lane.

I have it running (using Infinity map, sound etc. from the CD) and can both play and gather network game, but if I try to edit the keyboard pref's it crashes instantly. Got a broken finger, so I neeed to change it.
Anyone who knows how to work around that problem?

I use G5dual - OSX 10.4.6 danish (incl. keyboard) - latest Aleph One
