However, the games he mentioned doesn't use the Trilogy files. If you haven't created the content from scratch but instead copied from the shapes file etc. my guess would be that it is illegal. From what I understand though, all those games uses 3D-models and recreated textures, so it should be fine.
: Uh, the Trilogy is abandonware. So anything that uses Trilogy files is legit.
