: loyalty towards Bernard and as obsurd as it might sound, I almost think
: perhaps he looked at Bernard as being his master, despite Durandal's
: rather egotistic personality. On the other hand, when Durandal finds out
: that Bernard is likely to be enslaved perhaps he feels this is punishment
: enough if he truly sought revenge. Just a thought...
Durandal says this to us on Nuke and Pave:
I wish that I had made him experience the
humiliation that he inflicted on me, but he
died before I got the chance.
I don't think Durandal ever really looks back. He did warn humanity, and even he doesn't know why he did that. Durandal condemns Leela for her own loyalty; I doubt he has much of his own.
