Well, it's kinda like a wiki arrangement there; all the info is member-submitted, and the editors post or alter records according to the submissions. If a bunch of members submitted the same info based on Variety, odds are the editors would just verify it with the Variety article and post that. *shrug*
Feel free to join IMDB as a member and send in a correction for the Marathon entry; I sent in a correction for a mistaken entry for Halo 2 (I can understand why people would think that John Hurt did one of the voices, but it's wrong anyway) and it was fixed a couple of weeks later.
-- Steve'd send in corrections and additions for Marathon, but would need to do more research to make sure they're right.
